Nitrided ferrochrome is an alloy that combines the hardness and wear resistance of ferro chrome with the benefits of nitrogen incorporation. This makes it a valuable material for a wide range of applications where durability and performance under demanding conditions are essential.
It is widely used in the smelting and production of special steels such as stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, corrosion-resistant steel, and alloy steel. According to research by Huacheng Metal Network, the role of nitrogen in expanding the austenite zone is about 30 times that of nickel, which can partially replace the precious metal nickel and reduce production costs.
Ferro Chrome Nitride is widely used in electric furnaces and oxygen converters to smelt nitrogen-containing steel. Nitrogen is an austenite-forming element, and it is added as a component to chromium-manganese and chromium-manganese-nickel stainless steel to replace the shortage of nickel.
